OWIB Committees

The Oregon Workforce Investment Board's Executive Committee    takes action on behalf of the OWIB when emergency concerns arise and cannot be addressed at regularly scheduled OWIB meetings, and every other month when OWIB is not scheduled and there is a significant demand.
 

The Oregon Workforce Investment Board's Communication Committee develops and implements strategies to inform policy makers and the public on matters of importance to the Board. The Communication Committee also oversees the WorkSource Oregon brand and related activities.

The Oregon Workforce Investment Board's Manufacturing Committee develops and implements a strategic plan for manufacturing in the state to advise the Governor on issues dealing with this important sector of the economy.

The Oregon Workforce Investment Board's Youth and Education Committee members advise the board on policy issues dealing with youth, the emerging workforce and education. Recommended policies of the committee coordinate delivery of services to youth and identify and propose ways to remove any barriers to the delivery of these services.
